Meena Vaidyanathan, Director of niiti Consulting, led an engaging mentoring session with women entrepreneurs in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, hosted by Commonwealth Business Women Africa. During the session, Meena shared niiti Consulting’s Pravejaka approach—a model designed to empower women entrepreneurs by fostering ecosystem linkages, building capacity, and enhancing visibility.

The women entrepreneurs shared their lived experiences, highlighting the barriers they face in growing their businesses, from limited access to finance to social and structural challenges. They also reflected on the strategies they have developed to overcome these hurdles. Together, the group explored how elements of the Pravejaka model could be adapted and adopted within the Tanzanian entrepreneurial landscape, identifying potential opportunities for contextual implementation.
